What is Reiki?

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a gentle Japanese energy healing practice that promotes deep relaxation and helps your body restore its natural balance.
It works by channeling universal life energy through the practitioner’s hands into your energy field—supporting emotional calm, physical ease, and energetic renewal.
You don’t have to do anything—your body naturally takes in what it needs.

What is Distant Reiki?

Distant (or remote) Reiki works exactly the same as in-person Reiki—because energy isn’t limited by space or time.
Using symbols, love and focused intention, I send Reiki energy to you wherever you are in the world. You are asleep and Reiki flows to you at 2am your local time. I tune into your energy field using your name and intention, then channel healing energy directly to you. Many clients actually prefer distant sessions because they can receive healing in the comfort of their own home, without needing to travel or schedule around appointments. They say distant sessions feel just as powerful—or even more relaxing—than in-person ones.

How does a group session work?

Group sessions are one of the most beautiful aspects of distant Reiki. Everyone receives healing energy at the same time. I can send healing energy to an unlimited number of people simultaneously in a single 30-minute session. However, I like to limit it to 100 people per session.
Each person receives individualized healing based on their specific needs—the energy naturally flows to where it's needed most in each person's system. You don't need to be in the same location or even know the other participants. Many clients report feeling the same profound shifts and relief as they would in a one-on-one session.

Will I feel anything?

Everyone experiences Reiki differently, and all experiences are valid. Some people feel warmth, tingling, or deep relaxation during the session—even if they're asleep. Others feel nothing in the moment but notice shifts afterward: waking up more rested, feeling lighter throughout the day, experiencing less tension in their body, or feeling calmer and more grounded. Some people even wake up briefly during the 2am session and feel the energy working. Whether you feel something immediately or notice gradual changes over time, the healing is happening. Reiki always works.

Do I have to believe in Reiki?

No. Skepticism doesn't block Reiki—your body will respond to the energy whether your mind "believes" or not, just like you don't need to understand electricity for a light switch to work. Many of my most dramatic client results have come from people who were highly skeptical at the start. What does matter is being open to receiving support. You don't have to understand how it works or believe in any particular philosophy—you just need to give yourself permission to receive help. Your body knows what to do with the healing energy, even if your logical mind doesn't quite get it yet.

Do I need to do anything during a session?

Absolutely nothing. That's the beauty of distant Reiki—it requires zero effort from you. Just go to sleep at your normal time. The session happens at 2am your local time while you're resting, and your body naturally receives the healing energy. You don't need to meditate, visualize, stay awake, or be in any particular position. Just live your normal life and sleep normally.

Can I do this with medication or therapy?

Yes, absolutely. Reiki is complementary healing—it works alongside medical treatment, therapy, and other wellness practices. It doesn't replace medical care, but it can support your body's healing process while you're receiving other treatments. Many clients combine Reiki with therapy, medication, physical therapy, or other modalities and find it enhances their overall healing journey. Always continue any prescribed medications or therapies. If you have specific medical concerns, please consult your healthcare provider.

Reiki also works very well as prevention measure for health issues or stress related symptoms.

I’m in a different time zone—how does that work for me?

Distance and time zones don't affect the energy at all. When you book, you'll fill out a short form that includes your time zone and location. I'll calculate the equivalent of "2am your local time" for your sessions, so the healing reaches you at the optimal time for your body's natural rhythms—when your mind is quiet and your body is in deep rest. I work with clients all over the world, and the energy flows just as powerfully whether you're in Vienna, New York, Sydney, or anywhere else.
